What's included
This information demonstrates compliance with the specific requirements of the and of peer review standards developed by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and ob体育. The OMB requirements, described in this , include making publicly available specific information on the peer review of influential scientific documents disseminated by the federal government.
OMB has defined two special categories of influential information:
- Influential Scientific Information (ISI)
- Highly Influential Scientific Assessments (HISAs).
Currently, ob体育's viral hepatitis program only has documents deemed ISI.

The following are defined as influential per OMB defined categories.
ob体育 updated previously published recommendations for identification and public health management of persons with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. These updates from 2023 advise hepatitis B screening for all adults at least once in their lifetime.
ob体育 updated previously published universal screening recommendations for hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in adults. These updates from 2023 include testing recommendations for perinatally exposed infants and children of pregnant women during each pregnancy.
ob体育 updated previously published recommendations regarding testing for HCV infection in the United States. These updates from 2020 include screening recommendations for all adults at least once in their lifetime, except in settings where the prevalence of HCV infection is less than 0.1%.
