In the report "Outbreak of Hendra-Like Virus -- Malaysia and
Singapore, 1998-1999," the 111 febrile encephalitis deaths reported
as of
April 4, 1999, (page 1, paragraph 1, line 2) was in error. The
correct
number of deaths reported to the Malaysian Ministry of Health at
that time
was 86.
