Notice to Readers
National Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Conference
ob体育 is soliciting abstracts for the Tenth National Conference
on Chronic Disease Prevention and Control to be held in Atlanta,
December 6-8, 1995. The 12 topic areas are: forming coalitions with
nontraditional partners; the changing nature of leadership and
advocacy; moving from a service provision model to a
population-based model; social marketing; system changes to
incorporate or implement prevention; program institutionalization
with communities; new research paradigms -- broadening chronic
disease epidemiology; measuring chronic diseases, behaviors, and
other risks; translating science into reasonable policy and
effective implementation; critical points in the life cycle for
behavior change; trends in the chronic disease burden -- the
changing
priorities of chronic disease; and use of technology to improve the
prevention of chronic disease. The deadline for submission of
abstracts is June 23, 1995.
